OUR PROGRAMS

The Staunton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) offers three programs that provide subsidized housing to our community.  You can read about the programs below and explore our website for more information.  If you have any further questions about the programs, you can call our office at 540-886-3413.

  • HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV) PROGRAM

    The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is commonly referred to as "Section 8" by members of the community.  qualified applicants are issued a voucher which they can use to find housing in Staunton City or Augusta County.  Click here to learn more about this program. 

  • MULTIFAMILY APARTMENTS PROGRAM

    The Multifamily Apartments program maintains the apartment complexes at Elizabeth Miller Gardens and Farrier Court, both in Staunton, Virginia.  The complexes feature apartment units from 1-bedroom to 5-bedroom.  Click here to learn more about this program. 

  • PROJECT BASED VOUCHER (PBV) PROGRAM

    The Project Based Voucher (PBV) program is the newest program that the SRHA offers.  In this program, the SRHA works with the landlords and management companies of certain apartment complexes in our jurisdiction and offers vouchers for those specific units.  Currently, we can only offer 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units.  Click here to learn more about this program.
